My entire life I had aspirations of becoming a bodybuilder.
At the age of 8 years old all the way to the age of 21 I was morbidly obese. In 2008 my sister passed away and I fell into a deep depression. Eating and drug use became my way of dealing with the stress. After stepping on the scale weighting in at 330lbs in 2010, I made a new year’s resolution to take control of my life physically and mentally.
Slowly I started alter my past addictions into the positivity of working out. I turned a few bad addictions into a one great one. I remembered my dream of becoming a bodybuilder and I slowly was working towards that. After 3.5 years of hard training and learning a thing or two about nutrition, I decided to start preparing for my first bodybuilding competition.
In 2014 I competed in my first two contests, at this moment I became hooked to what bodybuilding was.
Bodybuilding has changed my life in many aspects. I am nearly 5 years clean of drugs and most importantly I am much healthier than I once was! I am a natural competitive bodybuilder and I have self-prepped myself for my shows.
Currently I have future plans of competition in the fall. I am a full time student at Purdue University North Central studying behavioral sciences.
In the start of April I became a Sponsored athlete with Ranger Nutrition and since then my favorite product has been Ignite and Catalyst XT. I take Ignite pre-workout stacked with Catalyst XT, this gives me insane mental clarity as well as an incredible pump in the gym!
For post workout recovery I normally have a blended fruit smoothie mixed with ANA chocolate whey protein. I find this to not only taste incredible but it also serves a great purpose with my daily nutritional intake.
Bodybuilding has been an excellent way for me to channel my daily stresses and put my anxiety into productive hypertrophy. I am incredibly honored to represent All Natural Assets. I look forward to what my future brings in not only this sport but in this company as well!
